Cashiers are individuals responsible for taking in money in form of cash, credit or cheque from clients and customers in exchange for goods and services. Cashiers are also responsible for scanning items, providing changers, balancing drawers and processing card transactions.

Cashiers are part accountant, part customer associate and part administrator. If you have good mathematical and numerical skills, and a knack for good communication, career as a cashier might be ideal for you. Most of the working hours, cashiers have to work with cash registers and electronic equipment.
